What to Expect
Day One will be full of presentations by leading identity and digital economy experts from Canada and around the world. That evening we will host the Innovator’s Dinner, honouring the visionaries who have led and continue to shape the Canadian and global identity space.
Day Two is a slightly shorter day, where we continue the conversations we started on Day 1, drawing upon the incredible expertise of gathered attendees. The day is capped off with a structured networking session where attendees have the opportunity to connect with speakers, and fellow leaders from across Canada and around the world.
IdentityNorth was founded on a vision of building a community for the purpose of supporting 3 objectives:
Educate:
Inspire Canadians with a sense of the new opportunities presented by broad adoption of Digital ID as a foundational piece in our lives. We see a huge opportunity to grow our economy by building literacy around Digital ID, privacy, and the emergence of our digital economy.
Connect:
Guide Canadians into a bigger, broader set of discussions, and activities surrounding Digital ID and its applications. The solutions to the challenges and opportunities ahead likely already lie in exploring each other’s ideas, technology, and working together. We can’t work together if we don’t know each other. How better to really know someone than to learn from leaders, engage in lively discussion, explore new ideas and share meals together?
Promote:
Support world-class Canadian companies as they seek to gain profile and access to projects and opportunities across Canada and around the world. We Canadians punch above our weight, contributing seminal work like The 7 Laws of Identity, Privacy by Design, the widely adopted Levels of Assurance, and the Digital ID and Authentication Council of Canada. Unfortunately, we often export by exporting our people. IdentityNORTH will help Canadians to share our technology and architectures around the world and, in doing so, to also export our principles to help lead the world. We will help create a globally recognized hub of excellence here in Canada.
