Bruno Couillard

With 30+ years in the security industry, Bruno Couillard, P.Eng., brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of cryptography, key management and cybersecurity. Bruno has served for 10 years as a Telecommunications Officer for the Canadian Forces and another 15 years as a consultant with both DND and CSE. Bruno is best known for his leading role in the development of the Luna hardware security module (Luna HSM) product line as co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Chrysalis-ITS, now owned by Thales. Bruno contributed in defining the PKCS#11 Standard, the dominant API to cryptographic tokens, and has authored multiple patents related to security and continues to develop new ones to this day. As a co-founder, president & CTO at Crypto4A, Bruno and his team are developing the next generation of quantum safe, cybersecure processing platforms. Bruno is recognized as a thought leader in the cybersecurity and key management space and he is determined to continue improving the underlying security of the digital economy.
