Igor Solesa

Throughout his 18 years of experience in the OPS, Igor has held a number of progressive management positions within various I&IT organizations and across various sectors that include environmental management, public health, forestry, laboratory services, mining, agriculture and citizen services. He has developed and led solutions teams on numerous signature and transformative projects focusing on business process optimization/management, enterprise solutions, legacy modernization and reporting & analytics. Some of his successes include implementation of Ontario’s drinking water monitoring system, modernization of environmental approvals and most recently, implementing ServiceOntario’s online health card renewals service. Since January 2018, he has taken on the role of Project Director for Digital Identity in the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services. Through targeted research, proof of concept development, establishing partnerships and collaborative workshops, Igor and his digital identity team is developing the expertise and leadership experience needed to inform Ontario’s position and go-forward plans for Digital Identity. He also represents Ontario’s interests on the DIACC Trust Framework Expert Committee and other governance bodies within the OPS related to identity management.
