Jeff Borsato
Program Manager, Ministry of Environment and Climate Change

Jeff Borsato is a Program manager for the Modernization of Approvals Branch at Ontario’s Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MOECC). He oversees digital service delivery under the Permissions Enterprise Platform (PEP) in MOECC. Part of the Ministry’s goal is to become a modern regulator of the environment through a risk-based framework for digital service delivery of approvals for a host of regulated activities. Jeff began his career with Ontario’s Workplace Safety and Insurance Board before joining the Ontario Public Service in 2015. Having served as a senior advisor to Ontario’s Corporate Chief Strategist, Jeff supported the development of the OPS I+IT Strategy 2015-2018. A core feature of this strategy called for the development of a digital identity framework in the Ontario Public Service. Jeff lives in Toronto and is a graduate of the University of Western Ontario with a degree in history.
